King Abdulaziz University concluded the activities of the Second Conference on Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, held over two days (Wednesday and Thursday, September 24–25, 2025) at King Fahd Medical Research Center, with the participation of a distinguished group of local and international experts. The event was organized by the Saudi Scientific Society of Internal Medicine in collaboration with the Saudi Gastroenterology Association.

The conference featured scientific lectures and training workshops, in addition to live transmissions of procedural cases from the Endoscopy Unit, aiming to highlight the latest technological developments in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases using endoscopy.

The scientific program addressed several important topics, including polypectomy, treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, and achalasia, as well as reviewing the latest international recommendations on the use of artificial intelligence techniques in the field of endoscopy.

Conference Chairman Dr. Majid Al-Sahafi explained that the conference aims to keep pace with the latest scientific recommendations and adopt advanced technologies to help provide the best healthcare services to patients. This reflects the pioneering role of the university hospital in this field and embodies the significant progress witnessed by healthcare services in the Kingdom in line with Vision 2030.
